GHANA YOUTH GOVERNMENT SIMULATION SUMMIT & YOUTH MODEL PARLIAMENT NATIONAL CONGRESS 2026

Raising the Next Generation of Policy Architects and Nation Builders.

The Ghana Youth Leaders' Summit (Government Simulation Summit) & Youth Model Parliament National Congress is a leadership development simulation summit organised yearly by the Youth Empowerment Consortium-YEC.

YEC is a registered youth-led non-governmental organisation in Ghana and duly recognised by the National Youth Authority of Ghana. The organisation promotes youth participation in governance and socio-economic development through its carefully developed leadership simulation models.

From Thursday, 5th November to Sunday, 8th November 2026, the Greater Accra Region will host one of Ghana's most transformative youth leadership experiences. The summit brings together over 350 emerging leaders, young policymakers, youth in politics, entrepreneurs, professionals, and civic innovators from across the country.

Participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions and real-time governance simulations to explore practical solutions to economic empowerment, climate action, political inclusion, entrepreneurship, and youth employment.

What to Expect

The summit offers a full-scale simulation of Ghana's Executive and Legislative governance structures, giving participants a rare opportunity to step into the shoes of MPs, Ministers, and Cabinet Members.

Through structured breakout sessions and mock proceedings, delegates will gain hands-on experience in:

  1. Youth Model Parliamentary Sittings: Represent assigned constituencies or districts and contribute to debates on national policies.
  2. Youth Cabinet and Committee Briefings: Participate in executive decision-making simulations and committee evaluations.
  3. Ministerial Presentations to Parliament: Engage in live policy briefings, budget defence, and cross-sector deliberations.
  4. Moot Court & Media Interviews: Sharpen public speaking, critical reasoning, and advocacy skills.
  5. YEC Excellence Awards Night: Celebrate youth excellence and impactful leadership on Saturday, 7th November 2026.

Participants will represent either a constituency, district, or ministry, making this one of the most immersive youth leadership programs in the country.

Core Focus for 2026

  1. Career Development and Public Sector Leadership
  2. NGO Management & Grant Acquisition
  3. SDG Projects as Pathways to Employment
  4. Integrity-Driven Leadership & Policy Innovation

Past editions featured high-impact sessions on project management, ethical governance, and sustainable entrepreneurship, equipping participants to lead with competence and conviction.
