Ms Faustina Kesewa Henaku
Position: Executive Director- Special Initiatives and Women led Campaigns
Faustina Kesewa Henaku is a highly organised and detail-oriented administrative professional with over six years of experience in administrative support, customer service, and institutional operations.
Her professional journey reflects a strong commitment to structure, service excellence, and impact-driven leadership across both public and community-focused institutions.
Kesewa is a graduate of the University of Education, Winneba. She currently works with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), where she contributes to administrative and operational support within port and terminal operations. Her work at GPHA has strengthened her competence in documentation, system checks, compliance processes, and institutional coordination within a highly regulated operational environment.
She is also the Founder of Kessplex Foundation, a community-focused organisation committed to empowering children, girls, and women through education, mentorship, and skills development initiatives.
Through this platform, Kesewa has led and supported community projects aimed at improving access to learning opportunities, building confidence among young girls, and promoting inclusive participation of women in community development efforts.
Her passion for children, girls, and women's empowerment has been consistently demonstrated through diverse initiatives and hands-on engagements. This commitment was further shaped by her experience as a facilitator at Tema Royal Kids Court in Accra, where she combined administrative responsibilities with child-centred support, nurturing environments that promoted learning, discipline, and personal development.
As the Executive Director for Special Initiatives and Women-Led Campaigns at the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC), Faustina provides strategic direction and coordination for programmes focused on women’s leadership, inclusion, and youth-centred advocacy.
In this role, she supports the design and implementation of special initiatives, women-led campaigns, and empowerment projects that align with YEC’s mission of developing responsible, capable, and impact-driven young leaders. Her work contributes to strengthening institutional outreach, fostering gender-responsive programming, and amplifying the voices and leadership of young women within YEC’s ecosystem.
