YEC National Congress

The Ghana Youth Leaders Camp Meeting is created to bring together over 250 policy makers, Youth in politics and leadership, young entrepreneurs, business executives, professionals, aspiring leaders and start-ups across Ghana to discuss innovative and new ways of dealing with challenges that Ghanaian Youths are confronted with and various topical issues that pertain to economic empowerment, politics, climate change and entrepreneurship development. The Event provides an engagement opportunity for participants and members of Youth Model Parliament to experience first hand face to face Parliamentary sittings aside the many virtual sittings.

Our Mission is to raise Youth Leaders who will be known for their Responsibilities In Action, Integrity In character, Compassion in Outlook and Excellence in Programs and Projects Execution.

This project has a special focus on career development, NGO leadership and SDGs projects implementation as alternative employment avenues for the Youth. Our break out sessions and mini Camping Workshops are tailored around the respective Careers of Camping Participants. Our Camping Spans for at least three days.

As a result, all non members of the Youth Model Parliament of YEC will have to arrange for their Accommodation. Our Event is focused on constituency |District Representation and Equal Regional coverage. This presents four Career specific thematic areas to propel the Youth to develop meaningful careers in these uncertain times. These thematic areas fall within the Seven pillars of influence in every Society/Nation. We Host some of Ghana's Finest who through active service and Practice have distinguished themselves in their fields as our Event trainers and Speakers aside our Guest of Honors. Youth Ministers across the Regions will brief the Youth Model Parliament regarding their sector ministries. The Final draft of these briefings are produced as a booklet that are presented to the appropriate Ministries of the Republic of Ghana in December.

On the Saturday of the Event, and as part of the Camping, the YEC Excellence Awards are held in the Evening.

There are special sessions for Photoshoot, Networking and Mentoring sessions from our Amazing Guests coupled with many Parliamentary Sittings.

Eligibility

  1. A Ghanaian of age 20-40
  2. You can read, write and understand basic English.
  3. You are passionate about leadership, Youth Activism, policy development and governance.
  4. You have basic experience in leadership of both self and others.
  5. You have no criminal Record
  6. You can fund your subsidised participant fee
