The Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) has officially announced the appointment of Phillip Apuri as its Executive Director for Administration, strengthening the Consortium’s leadership team as it advances its mission of youth empowerment, leadership development, and national progress.
Mr. Apuri is an accomplished administrator, educator, and youth development advocate with a strong background in leadership, governance, and institutional management. His appointment reflects YEC’s confidence in his capacity to provide strategic administrative leadership and to further enhance the organisation’s operational efficiency and institutional growth.
In his role as Executive Director for Administration, Phillip Apuri provides strategic oversight for administrative operations, policy coordination, and organisational development. He works closely with executive leadership to strengthen internal systems, coordinate programmes, and facilitate effective communication across departments and partner institutions, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and sustainable growth within the Consortium.
Beyond his administrative expertise, Mr. Apuri is also an educator, actively contributing to academic development and youth formation. His career reflects a consistent commitment to nurturing young people and building leadership capacity across educational, organisational, and community-based spaces.
Phillip Apuri brings extensive leadership experience from both student and national platforms. He has previously served as Secretary of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) at the Tumu College of Education, as well as General Secretary and Administrator of the Association of Teacher Trainees in Colleges of the Northern Sector.
He currently serves as the Youth Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East, where he represents and advocates for youth interests and inclusive development.
